Seth Clifford, CIO of Nickelfish and his thoughts on the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Physically, the 10.1 is a great feeling device in the hand. Thinner and lighter than you expect it to be, with a gorgeous screen and all the requisite hardware checkboxes filled. I’m not sure how I feel about the 16:9 frame, though. No, scratch that, I’m pretty sure I don’t like it.

Late braking turning my front left into smoke!

As I found when I installed the latest edition of Mac OSx onto my macbook the just downloaded install media self destructs after it has finished reading it’s message.
In order to prevent this from happening you have to take a copy of the installation DMG from the package contents prior to installation. Looks like I’ll be downloading another copy of Lion shortly.
In addition Lion seems to create a 650mb partition called Recovery HD but this doesn’t appear to include the installation media which requires another download from the Apple servers. Not very friendly for people who don’t have easy access to the internet like myself.
Given the Recovery partition doesn’t include the installation media I have to wonder why it needs to be as large as it is – surely on base Macbook Air this is significant for a partition that contains very little!

Sent from a work colleague. Unsure of source.
Stayed overnight at friends place to help celebrate his housewarming and to help with the wiring on his car. Success all around except I didn’t have my hard top on and it rained overnight. Soft top works but it feels like an umbrella compared to a solid roof!

I just prised off the bottom plate on the ignitor. Seems to be filled with a sticky silicon, I imagine I’ll need to desolder the board from the pins.

Just received my MX5 ignitor from ebay that I’ll be gutting to make a plug and play Coil On Plug setup for my MX5.
Hopefully will provide a stronger spark and the Toyota COP units are much cheaper to replace than the expensive Mazda coilpack.
