I rode 44km tonight on my mountain bike. Just on bike paths and streets doing a lap of Brisbane. My legs are killing me, my stomach has been churning and my legs are periodically cramping. When I was about 30km in I started to get worried I wouldn’t be able to get home but somehow I managed to go the distance. Whilst 44km isn’t a big deal for probably many people who ride bicycles, the next biggest ride I’ve done in recent history was 13km and that was yesterday! Talk about stepping it up! I’m a little worried that my legs will cramp up in my sleep and how sore they might be tomorrow but  I was serious about getting back into cycling. I’m not sure if 44km is a good place to start though. I might take tomorrow night off the bike. :)
