474km for 34L = 7.17L/100km. Not getting down to the quoted figures yet.

The big end bearing for No.2 in my Volkswagen VR6 shreded a few weeks ago leaving me with a very expensive repair.

I eventually made the decision to let the VR6 go and bought a 2007 Yaris 1.5 3 door. Not as exciting to drive but should be reliable.

On the first tank of petrol (assuming it was 100% full from the dealer) I managed 484km from 35 litres which I think works out to be 7.23L/100km.
