Computers aren’t houses

In the past I have bought the best computer I could afford and held onto it for as long as it was useful. These machines were eventually replaced but because they have reached a considerable age they’re not longer desirable beyond sentimental reasons and they’re near impossible to sell. This means they either end up as landfill or hopeful donations to recycling programs. These machines could possibly be still useful for some people, but there gets a point when machines are just getting too slow that they can’t even be given away. Obsession with keeping computers until they’re landfill. Unlike houses computers aren’t an investment. The $8000 you’ve spent on that high end machine is slowly disappearing from the day you take delivery of it.
