A few weeks ago I was really bumping against the storage limits of the 100GB hard drive in my Macbook Pro.
The obvious solution was to upgrade the hard drive and I did so with a Samsung 250GB drive.
The laptop is long out of warranty so it didn’t bother me to open it, and to be sure I had a read through of the ifixit guide as well. Other than a large number of screws it wasn’t particularly difficult to pull down.
The new drive is extremely quiet and appears to run cooler than the stock Toshiba drive.
